Ben is 8

For Ben's birthday we took a trip to St. Louis. We went to The City Museum. Grandpa Mundy joined us. It was a blast! We then spent the rest of the weekend enjoying our Nana. The kids all love her so much
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJAMIN!

The Graduate

I don't think I ever shared that my first born son, the greatest of all, the most beloved (with all the other five, that is) GRADUATED from High School! Sure makes tears come to a mom's eyes........Her little one is all grown up!

Introducing........Ben the Boat maker!

Dad taught Ben how to make a sea worthy vessel. I was so proud of Benny and he was super exited when launch time came. Best of all, it actually does float!

Dad and Areos are Architects

Architects that helped to build a cattle with some family friends. Areos had to take his friends along to help out. It was Man Time!

Soccer Brandon

This year Brandon played Soccer for LNH. I would run out of work to make it to his games. I would usually arrive during half time but I always got a thrill seeing him run up and down the court.

SO Cool Brandon!

Ashly Bakes her very first Banana Bread

She looks so sweet and she is but she is growing up. Time flies so fast!

We were in our room when all of a sudden she came in with her banana bread. She said that a friend gave her the recipe and she decided to make it. It was yummy!

Can you dribble?

Cause Sam sure can. Let me tell you, that game was a tight one and of course Sam beat me.

When Grandma Ruth came to visit

Grandma came during the Summer and spent a month and a half with us. I loved every minute of having her home. Of course she brought gifts. Ben and Sam got some super cool wrestling masks from Mexico. The boys loved them.

Check them out!

My big little girl.

That's what mommys arms and lap are made for.

Parent Teacher Conference

We loved meeting with our little ones teachers and hearing all the wonderful things about our kids.

Three Parent Teacher Conferences in one day is a lot ...thank heaven that the older boys were on another day.

First came Sam:
Sam and Mrs. Bench. Don't you just love how Sam's smile shows how special he feels being a big boy in a big kids school with a fantastic teacher.

Sam is doing super great. He is already identifying words and even writing. He loves to play word games...he will say;
S...S.A.M Sam .....S...Sarah.....S...Sabrina....M...mommy, D....daddy...A...Ashly....Axel....Areos, B...B.E.N.....Ben....Brandon

and he goes on and on and on.....priceless!!!

Next came Ben:

Mrs. Jones, Ben's teacher, was not there that day but she sent us a wonderful email telling us all about Ben. Here is a little snippet she shared with us.

"Mr. Mundy,

Ben is a joy to have in class. Ben works well with others. He participates in classroom discussions and activities. Ben is always ready to lend a helping hand around the classroom. He is doing well academically. "

We agree, Ben is a joy to have around!

Then it was Ashly's turn;
We ran to make it to her parent teacher conference. Both her teachers were there and they are so pleased with the progress that she is making. Ashly has progressed so much that she even loves to read. YES, I know, she used to hate it...but now she has learned that reading opens up whole new adventures and she just loves it!

She is our little girl.....and we love seeing how much her teachers love her.

Being parents...what a great adventure...we love every minute of it!!!!
